Why you need a Morning Routine. Trust me on this one.

"The importance of a morning routine for productivity "

I want to first start by saying that the only ‘perfect’ routine out there is one that you can stick to and makes YOU feel fulfilled by the completion of it.

A morning routine helps us set the tone for the day. Better allowing us to control our schedules rather than our schedule controlling us. As we start each day fresh, we can better focus on what is in front of us, where to prioritize our time, and ultimately, increase our productivity.

Now if any of you have ever read up on morning routines, almost all of them say you need to get up at the crack of dawn (4 or 5AM). This isn't true. Not in the slightest.

Obviously, some of us work nights, or have a family/job/prior commitments.

The reason getting up early is advised, is to change your mindset to beginning your day before the rest of the world. Not saying that getting up early is BAD per-say. I myself wake up at 5:15AM. I however, do not have little ones that require my time and attention. I'm just saying that its not absolutely necessary. Get up as early as you need to complete YOUR morning routine, weather it be 1 hour, or 3 hours.

The morning time is a perfect time to work on YOU. Meditation, exercise, your to do list for that day, reading a book, or meal prep.

IN MY OPINION, the 3 of the most important things that should be apart of your routine are:

- something physical (workout, run, yoga, stretch)

- something educational (reading, studying)

- and something for inner workings (meditation, Journaling, affirmations or mantras)

Being productive first thing in the morning primes you to have the desire for continual productivity for the rest of the day.

Heres the kicker though. Consistency is a MUST. Everyday day of the week. Not just Monday to Friday. Even if you have little ones at home, SOME sort of productive morning routine is possible. Trust me, I have heard every excuse.

The most important aspect of a successful morning routine is even if your day doesn’t go how you planned, you will go to bed that night knowing that you accomplished something. Tomorrow is a new day with new challenges to face and skills to learn.

I challenge you to make a morning routine and commit to it for 30 days. See how your life is going to change. I dare you, and I promise you that your life will change.
